Pampered Experiences, Pampered Foods
Fire and Stone Covent Garden, London.
Our first ever family trip to London went well, in fact, very well. My plan was executed with precision – we had 4 days to see the sights and I made sure we literally did see ALL the sights (almost). We also enjoyed a fab meal in Fire and Stone – such a great restaurant!
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, specific sights and excursions and a few press visits were crammed into a fun filled 4 days with my husband and 3 adorable children. Looking back, I can only recall one ‘near miss’ which left us with elevated heart rates and a few irate exchanges from parent to child. There is no tree left un-climbed in our garden and the kids enjoyed a little climbing excursion while in London as well…look at that girl go! My daughter was making sure she would stand out from the other tourists at Buckingham Palace!
Fire and Stone was recommended to me as a family friendly place to eat in Covent Garden and I was not disappointed.
Easy to find, this was an incredibly vibrant and hip restaurant. A que at the door is always a good sign and there was a very long que to eat in Fire and Stone, thankfully our table was pre-booked.
Well known for its amazing pizzas, the smell exuding from inside was delicious. Family friendly seating and a child friendly menu awaited us and I have to say that for a pizzeria, they had salads ‘to die for’. Walnut and blue cheese, sun-dried tomato and Caesar, I was delighted! They had the most scrumptious parmesan flat bread – totally new to my taste buds so I ordered this as a starter – one has to try these things for the blog! The kids absolutely loved this with the various dips.
For a main course the children choose pizza while hubby and I had the blue cheese salad. No-one was disappointed.
I loved the atmosphere and could have sat on the rest of the night. Fire and Stone – a perfect restaurant and set in the most happening place on the planet – Covent Garden London!
