Moochies

What is a Moochie?? I was so delighted to find this press release in my inbox – I mean – this Moochie could change my life!!! I read the information and jumped up and phoned hubby saying ‘I have the solution’!!

To explain – my son who is 6 yrs is a little darling but he refuses to fall asleep by himself – I am partly to blame and he is no.3 to arrive and definitley the last so I may have cuddled him a little too tightly and a little too often – he is well and truly ‘molly cuddled’ by now!

I was very keen to have a Moochies and try it out at home to see if it would indeed solve my huge problem…and it did!

Moochies are basically a watch – they look like a watch and are worn like a watch but – wait for it – they are a direct line to mum as well !

To begin, Moochies come in 4 colours – I was sent the black one to try – you have to agree it would easily pass as a watch?

It tells the time so yes, its a watch in a way… but it’s also so much more. There are three buttons so the youngest of children can easily figure it out.

You can programme your Moochies easily by downloading the app from the App Store or Google play – it will work with any smart device.

Once you have the app and the Moochies connected, you add in your numbers – only 5 can be added and this limits the incoming and out going calls. Your child can simply press one button and can call you instantly. You can, in turn, also call him/her.

Now, the bit I think is ingenious and so important is the GPS tracking system – your child’s Moochies will let you know – on your smartphone – exactly where your child is at any time of the day. I have tested this when we were out and about and its pretty impressive – you will be given the exact address and also a little Moochies symbol on a map – simple.

The ‘icing on the cake’ is the SOS button – for the ultimate piece of mind.

If your child is in trouble, scared or even if he/she wants to give you a ‘heart attack’ – like my son did – they simply press ONE button which activates an alarm call to your phone. A recording system comes into play and a 15 second voice message will be send to your phone. You can then see exactly where your child is and listen to the recorded message – isn’t this an absolutely ingenious and well thought-out product in ‘this day and age’ as my mum would say!

I would, however, recommend that your child does NOT  take their Moochies to school – I was busy washing the floors after the kids went out to school and I got a phone call – it was my son telling me that he was waiting in line to go into class and his friends wanted to see how his new ‘James Bond’ gadget worked!! I had to tell him to take it off and give it to the teacher immediately which he did – however, as he did not disconnect the call I was able to hear everything going on for the duration of the call – I have to say he has a very good and patient teacher – I now have ‘inside knowledge’ of this! I then had a few of the other mums come up to me in the playground asking where I got his new toy and their kids have Moochies on their Santa list!!

So, thats basically it – the Moochies is simply to set up and very very simple to use. Did it change my life? Yes. My son is perfectly happy to lie up in his bed with 500+ teddies and his Moochies. Initially he called me about 20 times a night but this reduced slowly once he knew I was not far away and he could reach me if he needed me – or reassurance!
