Chiquito at Victoria Square
With a slogan like ‘The fiesta starts here amigos’ how can this restaurant be anything but fun!!!
My sister, my kids and I visited Chiquito before travelling on to see Little Mix at the SSE Arena. Victoria Square was the perfect shopping centre to stop off at and its close to all of Belfast’s attractions. We were about 5 mins drive to the SSE after our meal – that is if we hadn’t have parked in the Castle Court shopping centre car park and got the car locked in as it closed at 6pm – Jade, Perrie, Leanne and Jessie were lucky we made it at all to cheer them on!!
However, Chiquito is located on the top floor with exhilarating views over the city and we had a really fun visit.
We were very impressed with the restaurant’s interior decor, it was entertaining and fun. The Mexican theme was evident throughout and we were even given Mexican hats to wear while we were being shown to our table – the kids loved this special touch.
Everything was so authentic and perfectly in keeping with the Mexican theme. The menu was extensive and there were lots of foods suitable for kids as well as adults with a craving for traditional Mexican cuisine.
Jenny had the fajitas which were simply lush, washed down with the most colourful non-alcoholic ‘mocktail’ of course!
My sis opted for the tortilla chips which she had to literally defend – we all wanted some of these!
I had the ribs – what else?? They are my favourite food and these were simply ‘fall off the bone’ gorgeous. Served with crispy fries, sweetcorn and a delicious home made coleslaw, this was a meal I thoroughly enjoyed.
Cait, my youngest daughter was smitten with Chiquito. She loved every minute of it and would probably have sat on there rather than going to see Little Mix at all !!
I can’t see us returning to Victoria Square without Chiquito being our first choice for dining. Visit it – its an experience in itself and one you will love as much as we all did!
