Poppy’s Dogrobe !

Anyone who has a dog should not be without one of these marvellous creations. If you have ever washed your pooch and tried desperately to wrap them securely in a towel before they can shake water everywhere, you will know what I mean.  

 Poppy absolutely hates being washed; to be honest she hates water that goes any deeper than her knees… She refuses point blank to swim, a rarity in a Lab.  Well, anyway, she is what she is and we love her to bits.  However, I don’t like water being sprayed all over my walls and ceilings after she has had a wash.  To make matters worse, she goes completely nuts after a wash, I think it’s overwhelming joy to have survived the experience!  So anyway, this means that the towel goes flying no matter how well wrapped up she is.

As you can imagine, I was absolutely delighted to receive my Dogrobe, which is specially designed to fit over the pooch’s head and ties securely round her middle, which means it doesn’t move an inch during her mad post bath dance.  It is made from thick towelling cotton, which absorbs an enormous amount of water and after about half an hour, Pops is almost completely dry. 

Poppy’s robe is size XL, which I would recommend for a large Lab.  The bright red complements her shiny black coat perfectly.

I also plan to bring her Dogrobe when we go on our hiking expeditions with Poppy this summer. It will keep her dry and warm on the way home and has the added benefit of keeping my car boot clean and relatively hair free.

You will notice I took the pictures of Poppy when she was dry.  It is impossible to get her to stand still long enough after a bath, hence, the pics would be a red blur…
