Varta Indestructible Torch, Camping Lantern and 4 X LED Outdoor Sports Headlight

A torch is a torch, blah, blah, blah, I hear you say… Well I would have been inclined to agree with you before I tried out this one.  I must say I have never had a torch which shone as far away as this one.

Every night, I bring my beautiful black Labrador, Poppy, out for her last toilet break of the evening, usually about 10pm so you can imagine how dark it is and how difficult it is to actually see a black Labrador who has decided to do her business half a field away.  Well, it is no problem at all with this torch!  I can easily keep her in the spotlight and make sure she actually is where I think she is.

Apparently it is shockproof to 9m and virtually indestructible as well as being water resistant. The housing is aluminium so it is surprisingly lightweight for such a powerful torch.  There are 2 light modes on this torch, depending on the brightness you require. My husband, who seems to be constantly in his workshop repairing some farm machine or other, thinks it’s amazing as it is so slim it can be easily used in confined spaces.  It is remarkably economical to use as we have yet to replace the battery and it seems to be in constant use. I must say, I would very much recommend this torch as a necessity in every household, or even to leave in the car for those late night emergencies we all dread. Varta Camping Lantern

Well, why am I raving about a camping lantern when I have never actually gone camping, I hear you say…  Well, because this is not just for camping.  This is an amazing light that can be used in any situation where you don’t have electricity.  The advantage over a torch is that it can stand up by itself wherever you place it, so there’s no need to be juggling a torch while you’re trying to do something else.  Also, as it is clear all round, the light does not appear as a beam like a torch.  The Varta Camping Lantern is basically like having a portable light bulb!

I can see how it would be very useful in a tent at night, if I ever decide to try it!  This lantern has a very useful carry handle on top and extra weight in the base which is made of rubber to help it stay where you have placed it. This would be absolutely amazing in a situation where you have a power cut as it is much safer than candles.  Personally, I find it very useful if I’m doing some craft work especially at night.  I just leave it on the table beside me.  Priced at £11.99 and available from Amazon, this would make a great gift for just about anyone.  I’m going to buy one for my dad.  Highly recommended.

4 X LED Sports Headlight.

Hubby has a few of these headlights but this one is mine! It looks fab – quite ‘girly’ actually as its a lovely blue colour – most of these are black.

Its lightweight and can be used with two levels of brightness, this suits as there is quite a big difference in the two levels. The head strap adjusts and its comfortable to wear – I love it!
