Command and Scotch from 3M for all your Christmas needs.
I love the Christmas season and all the decorating that goes with it and I simply couldn’t survive without the Command hanging hooks from 3M. My friend introduced me to them last year and I have been ‘addicted’ since. This year I am on my second packet already. These little clear hooks stick to the wall or ceiling and you can hang your seasonal decorations from them – they really do stay put!
Last year I decorated our hall ceiling with paper chains the kids made and the Command hooks are still up to the job this year. As they are clear and small they remained on my ceiling and were almost invisible.
3M also have some fab ideas on their website – they have used these hooks for hanging lights on the fireplace. I think this is very clever, the lights can be hung from underneath so they don’t interfere with your Christmas decor on the top.
This year I have the best tree ever – or mannequin rather! To finish the look I have 2 rather large baubles hanging from the ceiling – yet again, using the Command hooks! These baubles are quite large and heavier then the average bauble yet they are hanging fast from the Command hooks.
The hooks can also be used for individual little advent sacks – isn’t this a lovely idea?
Progressing on from the hooks I was delighted to discover the Command picture strips. These come in a few different sizes to suit different weights of pictures. I have used these to hang my canvas’s on the wall – they are perfect for little DIY jobs hubby never gets around to as there is not a nail or drill in sight!
The gadget of the year has got to be this Pop-Up Tape also from 3M. Gone are the days where wrapping takes forever as you keep losing the edge of the tape! With this handy little dispenser, you simply wear it on your wrist and the tape pulls off easily and in individual sections. Each piece is the perfect size for wrapping ensuring you are all ‘wrapped up’ for Christmas in no time!
This is also a fab idea for ‘crafty kids’. My son uses a load of sticky tape for junk art and with this dispenser he can pull off small amounts – prior to this he was using a roll of tape per project!
All of these products and more can be found on Amazon and in many local supermarkets.
