Gibsons Games for Christmas
Nothing beats sitting around the fire at Christmas with your family, drinking an Irish coffee and playing games or completing a jig saw together! Am I old fashioned? I don’t think so! Yet, these are the memories I have of my childhood at Christmas and I love it. I want my children to remember the simple things we did together as a family – not who scored the highest at Mario on the Wii!
Gibsons Games have a great selection of fun games with Christmas themes that would be perfect if you need to stock up on some new ones. They also have Christmas themed puzzle’s and several other gifts that would suit as inexpensive presents yet they are high quality and good value for money. I have a few suggestions I want to recommend and I am going to start with a traditional puzzle.

Og On The Bog from Drumond Park
Og on the Bog is a really great game for boys – I am saying this as my son has enjoyed this game way more than any other game we have. When his cousins came to visit last week, Og on the Bog what they played over and over again. The girls played as well but the boys got really carried away!

This game is THE game for your family this Christmas, buy it, you will not prove me wrong. We have had so much fun with Logo Lite!
The Logo games have always been a big hit with our family.
My children are logo mad and you will find all the familiar names such as Rolo, Rice Krispies and Jammie Dodgers along with some not so well-known when you are playing the games.

Gameband+Minecraft
Minecraft, it’s taking over the world! My kids barely enter the house from school and they have managed to log on. When we visit family and friends they have they tablets with them, keeping their animals fed and their worlds ‘turning’. My 3 children have this addiction and I am so thankful Minecraft is somewhat educational and not just a ‘game’ like so many others on line.

Back to School 2015.
I have had a brilliant summer despite never actually experiencing 2 days in a row where the sun shone! I feel rested and revived but am still skeptical when I think of the beginning of September and the routine which will ensue. My eldest daughter is moving to secondary school so I have an extra trip each morning. Needless to say, I am trying my best to prepare all we need well before September.
My local shoe shop is crammed full for the entire month of August. I am left thinking do I buy school shoes early or do I wait and prepare for huge queue? This year I have explored another option – Brantano!
