Gibsons Games for Christmas
Nothing beats sitting around the fire at Christmas with your family, drinking an Irish coffee and playing games or completing a jig saw together! Am I old fashioned? I don’t think so! Yet, these are the memories I have of my childhood at Christmas and I love it. I want my children to remember the simple things we did together as a family – not who scored the highest at Mario on the Wii!
Gibsons Games have a great selection of fun games with Christmas themes that would be perfect if you need to stock up on some new ones. They also have Christmas themed puzzle’s and several other gifts that would suit as inexpensive presents yet they are high quality and good value for money. I have a few suggestions I want to recommend and I am going to start with a traditional puzzle.
This Christmas puzzle would appeal perhaps to the older child or even an adult – I get my brother -in -law a puzzle every Christmas and its something he has come to expect and love! This one is entitled ‘Its Christmas’ and has a beautiful Christmas scene on the box. The presentation is beautiful – a gold box with red gift ribbon printed on, so minimal wrapping is needed. This puzzle is made from 100% recycled board and retails at £14.99 – not a bad price for an environmentally friendly gift!
Pass the Bomb is an ‘explosive’ game your entire family will love.
‘Bring your brain cells to the dinner table, as you frantically try to think of a word using the letters on the card and pass the infernal ticking bomb on to the next player. As you hold the Bomb, there may be only seconds to come up with an answer and beat the variable timer!’ (Gibson Games)
Pass the Bomb had my entire family laughing hysterically. Its a quick thinking game that will keep its players entertained for hours – therefore it perfect for ensuring mum has a couple of undisturbed hours on the sofa after her Christmas dinner. RRP £20.99.
Pass The Pud is another great value game for only £17.99. The players answer questions while the pudding is passed along merrily until you hear a ‘burp’. My 6 year old son loved this game and its still sitting on the table in our family room.
I would have to say this is my favorite game of all. I love the actual pudding style and that it can be played on the floor – no table is needed to set up the game. Its small and easily stored – now, whats not to love about that?
These Gibsons Games for Christmas and other games can be purchased from a number of shops and online.
