As we all know, as you get older your eyesight deteriorates.  During a routine visit to the optician, my husband, who wears glasses, was asked, now that he has crossed the 40 milestone, if he would like to change his glasses to bifocals.  Of course, he refused!  I think he was shocked to have been asked the question in the first place!
