IBIS Hotel Belfast City Centre
The Ibis Belfast City Centre was a bit of a surprise to me. I was expecting a ‘budget experience’ as the IBIS Hotel is rather low in price but that was not what I found. This hotel is located in the heart of the thriving city of Belfast directly behind the Castle Court shopping centre.
Its perfect if you wish to ‘shop till you drop’ this Christmas, you will not have far to carry your bags and you can collapse exhausted from your purchases into a nice big bed!
Our room was a double room – I had made the mistake of not mentioning the kids when I was booking this room but this was not a problem on arrival. A lovely gentleman at reception whizzed us up 2 camp-beds within a couple of minutes, and we still had plenty of room.
I don’t usually photograph the bathroom and would use a lot of media pictures but I have included a photo of the IBIS hotel bathroom below as it was one of the cleanest and immaculate bathrooms I have ever came across while staying in a hotel.
The kids loved the hotel – we had the extra beds beside the double bed and we sat up till late watching the TV and munching on snacks – this is what going away for a night is all about!
Breakfast was perfect – a lovely selection of cereal and fruit juice along with a hot food self service area. This was the fastest breakfast they had ever eaten as on the way through reception they spied a lounging area with at least twenty board games so they couldn’t get their food into them quick enough so they could play Monopoly and jenga – I had to drag them away when we were checking out!
I have read a few of other peoples reviews on trip advisor and a some people had mentioned that the area wasn’t great – this is a severe misconception in my honest opinion. I would stay here again on my next visit to Belfast. The area was perfect. Within 5 minutes you are in the city centre and the walk to the shops passes a few local shops that the kids loved – where else would you get a emogi pillow for £2!!
