Disney On Ice – Magical Ice Festival.
For 4 days the Odyssey arena in Belfast city will be coming alive with screams of excited children (and adults) as the stage welcomes the characters from a selection of Disney stories with the fantastic Disney On Ice – Magical Ice Festival.
I am delighted to say I was there last night for the opening night and if you are lucky, you can witness the magic of Disney in Belfast with your family over the next 3 days. Tickets can be booked by calling 08448472455 or through www.ticketmaster.ie The show is travelling the UK so wherever you are, there will be a show near you.
I don’t want to spoil this for anyone who is going but I simply have to write about the fab night I enjoyed with my family – it was definitely one of the best family shows I have seen.
As usual, we arrived and joined the que behind lots of children dressed up as there favorite Disney characters. This is such fun to watch as all the little Anna’s and Elsa’s waited eagerly to see there hero’s and heroine’s on the ice. There was lots of souvenirs to purchase and we treated ourselves to a couple of Disney t-shirts.
We purchased some popcorn before the show and took our seats eagerly waiting. My children were so excited and clapped and cheered to the music and the antics of the characters. The show began with the story of Ariel, the little mermaid. Wow – she was fab! The stage became a magical underground world and the characters were superb – even the sea witch!
Nest, Rapunzel took to the stage and then my favorite – Beauty ad the Beast! This story has always me in tears and I really enjoyed it. The parts were played so well and the costumes and stage props were excellent.
When the second half began the excitement reached a crescendo with the arrival of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf – the children all got to their feet and ‘raised the roof’!
The characters really looked like the ‘real’ ones from the movie and Sven was superb!
Now, do I really have to tell you that every child in the entire Odyssey sang along to ‘Let It Go’ ??
My daughter kept asking, ‘Are you sure you are taking pictures Mummy?’ They have been looking at the photos since and reliving the magic with their friends.
Don’t wait any longer if you have yet to see Disney On Ice – Magical Ice Festival. Its a really great show that I guarantee both children and adults will enjoy.
