Universal Textiles Pyjamas.
Being one of those ladies who think Pyjamas are not just for bed, I am always on the lookout for something special that I can change into after a long hard day’s work. I was delighted with this beautiful set from Universal Textiles, as they are just perfect for this time of year. They comprise a lovely soft pair of fleecy bottoms, blue with white star print and a cute red short sleeve cotton top to match.

These PJ’s are of a very high quality, the cotton top is thick and soft, and will hold it’s shape wash after wash. The bottoms are a lovely soft fleece, and I am pleased to say that they are of a good length. These PJ’s are very good value at £16.95. Being an avid fan of baking and having my 2 daughters fast following in my footsteps, I am always on the lookout for something special and that little bit different for our many batches of cupcakes.

I was surprised at the lovely sweet smell when opened the pack, and they taste just as good!

Tote Bags from The Camouflage Company.
Do you remember to bring a bag to the shop to save on the 5p charge? I must admit, sometimes I forget! I have solved this problem by switching my handbag to a bigger stronger one from The Camouflage company which will hold my daily essentials and a few groceries if needs be.

E-cloth e-body range.
If you have yet to check out the range of e-cloths, do it now!
E-cloths save time and money by just cleaning with water, therefore reducing the major impact cleaning chemicals have on the environment. Not only are they better for the environment, but are also better for our health.
E-cloths are made of man-made fibres and have an environmental impact, of course, but they neither use nor are impregnated with chemicals. The fact that they last for years and can be washed over 300 times, means the environmental impact is significantly lower than other cleaning products and processes.
I have some of the E-body range – there are several ranges on the website to suit every aspect of cleaning in the house.
My absolute favourite ‘could not be without’ product would have to be the hair turban.
Why? I hear you ask.. Read on. This turban was purchased with the aim of severely reducing my stress levels on ‘hair washing night’ as I have 2 girls with long hair and a boy who acts like he is at ‘waterworld’ every time he gets a bath – bath night at our house is not fun for mum!
Long hair needed wrapped in a towel, which never stayed up, then the backs of the pyjamas got wet, etc, etc. My man made turbans just don’t stay on. However, an e-cloth turban does! On the first bath night, out came my daughter with sopping wet hair – then out came the turban. Instructions – Tip head forward, put turban on head with button at back, wrap hair up, fasten loop around the button. Simple as that!
The micro-dry technology dries 4x faster than cotton so hair dries quickly and the turban dries quickly too.
Later that night I ordered another 2! An absolutely brilliant article I wish I had years ago! Guaranteed for 300 washes, so a bargain at £12.99.
I can’t review e-cloth without mentioning the Sports & Travel Towel.
Wish I had this for our holidays! The same micro-dry technology, compact and dries 4 times faster than cotton, it saves space and would be perfect for packing into your case for overnight stays. RRP £14.99. This also comes in a smaller size which would suit the gym or sports activities RRP £9.99.
E-cloth also have accessories such as the eye cleansing pad RRP £4.99, face cleansing mitt RRP £6.99 and the exfoliating body mitt RRP £9.99, to name but a few.
I love the body mitt. The gentle fine-weave cleans and exfoliates in the shower or bath, leaving skin feeling silky soft and super clean. It does not require specialist cleaners – just create a light lather with your regular natural body wash, so no need to buy exfoliating lotions which can be harsh on your skin.

A favourite of mine would have to be the Beach hut mug. I simply love the beach, and it does not have to be summer for me to bundle the kids into the car for a picnic on the beach! This mug reminds me of my favourite place, so I can have a soothing cup of tea in a beautiful ‘beach’ mug – how relaxing!

Heaven Fresh Ionic Air Purifier 200.
Airborne pollutants – they are everywhere! How do we keep our family healthy in a world of pollution, dust, pollens, allergens, bacteria, smoke – need I go on any further?
I like to think that I do my utmost (within reason) to ensure my family is happy and healthy and have always thought of investing in an Ionic Air Purifier. However, with 3 kids and a busy home, I am only getting round to it now. My daughter has asthma and we both suffer from hay fever recently too, which is why I thought this would be a good time!

I was surprised at the price RRP £54.99 – not bad for something that does so much – and on this note, I must add, its not a large machine! No-one has enough space these days, so this HF 200 Ionic Air Purifier is 12×7.2×3.8 inches, so neat.
The benefits an air purifier provides is likened to those felt when standing next to a waterfall – wow, imaging having the same fresh air feeling in your own home? Sure, open the windows – I don’t know where you live, but every 2 seconds a car drives past our house, so no benefits to be had there! Countryside air has at least 10 times the negative ions than indoor air – so that is why we feel so much better after a walk in the country or a trip to the seaside.

Make-up Works Bronzer and Interchangeable palette.
Heralded as the ‘Holy Grail’ of bronzers, this bronzer claims to be universal and will suit anyone. I definitely could not wait to try this! I have been using the same bronzer for over 10 years and it’s not cheap! So I was very keen to try another one with an excellent reputation and a claim to suit all skin types.

August wasn’t brilliant here in Northern Ireland, but it sure was humid. I used the bronzer just over my make-up, no other powder. I never really passed any remarks on it – with 3 kids I am lucky to get the time to apply make-up, let alone check it out in the mirror.
First compliment was from my sister ‘Have you changed your make-up?’ She said I looked well and then I decided to check myself out! It was several hours from the time I had quickly applied my make-up, and I was delighted as I looked like it was just applied. No shine and no ‘caked’ areas around my eyes. Very impressive as the sweat ran off us with the humidity, but the make-up stayed on!
I am very pleased as it retails at £17, which is £8 less than the other bronzer I had been using – good bye to that one! Hello Make-up works, it really does!
My other new product was the Interchangeable Palette with blusher, bronzer and 2 eye shadows, retailing at £26.

The packaging was impressive, neat and tidy and WOW – interchangeable! So, depending on where I was going I could slot in the suitable make-up. The blusher and bronzer were brilliant, and a good size; big enough that the brush did not rub into both when I was trying to apply one.
The eye shadow was a challenge as I don’t usually wear eye make-up. It sat for a few days, untouched. However, the colours supplied were Sea and Azures, both pretty tame, nothing wild that would scare the kids and hubby would wonder where his wife had gone to! I did try it and loved it. Greens are the colours to wear ladies – read your Hello, etc – so I am ‘in the know’ now. Just a touch of the Sea on the outer corners and the Azure on my eye lids – looked well and not over the top.
Could this be the start of things to come? Well, I have made a big change with the bronzer after 10 years, so I might just start dabbling with eye shadow!

It’s a brilliant idea, instead of a drawer full of eye shadow palettes just have one, and a few interchangeable sets to go with it.

OXO Twist Top Water Bottle and Cleaning brush Set.
Its’ that time of year, we are all buying uniforms, school bags, and lunch boxes etc. I usually spend ages going from shop to shop looking for BPA free water bottles for my 3 children. They are so hard to come by, or used to be! OXO had just what I needed. The Twist Top Water Bottle.

They come in a good variety of colours, and hold 300 mls. Perfect for lunch boxes and after school activities, they are easy to use – a twist of the non-slip lid reveals a soft straw to drink from so clean and compact too. The opening is large enough so ice can be added – so much better than conventional water bottles.
The Twist top Water Bottle is dishwasher safe, and that ‘sold’ it to me, as well as being made from BPA free materials, so hygienic and safe to use.

This set includes a long bottle brush, straw brush and detail cleaner. There is no water bottle on the planet this set could not clean! I used to have to dump the childrens water bottles after a time, as a scum built up on the inside that was impossible to remove. This brush fits right down to the bottom of the bottles and can be twisted around to ensure all scum and debris is removed.

Bosch Cordless Tacker PTK 3.6 LI
The Bosch Cordless Tacker would make a great ‘Man gift’ as it can be used for small DIY jobs around the home and outside. It does not require a lot of technicial knowledge to use, the instructions are simple and basically anyone could use this.

We have used it to construct bird houses, hen coops, and even mended the roof on a garden shed. Just press the tacking nose to where you want to tack and press the button – simple. The handle is soft grip so it can be used for longer jobs and does not become uncomfortable to hold. This tacker can really be used on any job if the materials are fairly thin and on soft wood. It would be the ultimate tool for upholstery as the tacks are small enough to remain hidden.
The staples are quite easy to load, (if I can do it anyone can), and with the reload indicator, you will not be caught out half way through a job with no tacks left in the machine.
I like it as its’ small and compact – so no storage problems. Clutter tends to build up in our house as it does in every house, so small is always good!
