Baby Bjorn Carrier We
Although I am not using a baby carrier at the moment – (and hopefully I never will again!), having had 3 delightful children of my own, I am well enough experienced to discuss the pros and cons of this Baby Bjorn Carrier We.
I was not one of those women who had half the baby shop in the attic weeks before the birth of her baby. I knew what I wanted but I had yet to purchase it – a Baby Bjorn Carrier We was NOT on my list. I am not sure why this was, I have seen plenty of people using them but I never thought I would ‘need’ one.
Well, did all go well for me?? No. Yes, I was fortunate to take a perfect little baby girl home but I had an emergency cesarian section and she was kept in hospital for 10 days. She was also 3 weeks early to begin with and to say there were ‘feeding’ issues is an understatement. To top all that, my beloved daughter had colic. For those of you fortunate enough not to know what this is, its basically wind, wind, wind and more wind. She also had reflux which meant almost every time I fed her she would reflux milk back up and then cry until I fed her again. I was getting about 2 hours interrupted sleep when my sister came to visit and she had her baby carrier with her – and that was the turning corner for me – and it certainly helped me to continue to breastfeed.
A baby carrier, in my situation, meant Jenny did not need to be laid down flat when she was fed. I simply fed her and placed her in the carrier and I got on with my jobs. She never spud-ed and the jogging of me walking about helped her with wind as well. However, choose your baby carrier carefully – I used a Baby Bjorn Carrier We as this was the most highly recommended at that time. It still is!!
This carrier can be used from newborn age upwards to 3 years approximately. It can be used to carry baby on your front or back – I used this to carry Jenny on my back and I am proud to say I was able to clip my front hedge while baby was on my back!! I am not recommended you do this – just simply stating that you can get so much done with your baby in a Baby Bjorn We carrier rather than in your arms!! There are a total of 3 front and back carrying positions to choose from. I found them all comfortable and I have a ‘bad back’ so that’s saying something!
For the fashion conscious, they come is a few different colours/designs.
The carriers are priced from £69.95.
