Deep Heat Odourless Back Heat Patch
I just had to add these into my ‘Health and Beauty’ category – I have always been a fan and found Deep Heat worked well and have been so impressed with the patches now too. Designed especially for back pain, they are twice the size of the regular patches.
Available in a pack of 2 for only £4.47, these are just what you need if you suffer from backache. After a long day I used to find relief in a hot bath but I believe these to be just as effective.
The warming relief lasts for up to 8 hours and works well for joint pain, aches and stiffness as well as backache. Activated charcoal and iron within the patches react with air when opened and gives a lovely soothing heat sensation to the skin. This is just perfect when my back is tired and aches. With no associated side effects compared to analgesia tablets, I would never be without these patches – highly recommended.

Calling all pet owners…Have you ever wished you had a storage solution for your pet food, something that lets you in but keeps greedy doggies and pussycats out? Well, look no further, here it is.

The simplehuman pet food bin is a large, stainless steel, (fingerprint proof, may I add), storage bin with a capacity of 25 litres. This means it will easily hold a 10kg bag of dog food. The bin contains a removable plastic liner which is very easy to clean and BPA free, therefore it won’t leak nasty chemicals into your home.
What I really love is the fact that the lid locks shut and forms an airtight seal which is completely tamper proof. My Jack Russell is constantly hungry (mind you, you wouldn’t think it to look at him!), so it was always a struggle to find somewhere to hide her grub so she couldn’t sniff it out and help herself.
These clever people have thought of everything as this bin even has a scoop which conveniently attaches magnetically under the lid for easy access.
The simplehuman pet food bin is tall and slim so it doesn’t take up a lot of space and has built in rear wheels for easy moving. I keep mine under the worktop in my utility room and simply pull it out and fill when needed.
For anyone who stores pet food in a garage or shed, this bin also has the advantage of being rodent proof, something which is invaluable as those pesky mice can quickly eat their way into the bottom of a plastic bag and a lot of food is wasted. Using this bin, your pet food will be completely safe from attack.
If you are not an animal owner, this bin could be very useful for storing items such as bird food or barbeque charcoal.
Don’t be put off by the price of this marvellous bin, it is well worth it, in space saving terms alone. I really love mine.

Langdon’s Shredding Scissors from QVC
I have a small office and don’t have a lot of space so I’m always looking for items which are useful without crowding me out. As a result, I don’t have an automatic paper shredder as I simply don’t have the space. But, like everyone else, I have sensitive documents that need to be shredded before throwing away. A woman’s place is in the home’ – I detest that saying and it is SO not true. I am a woman (last time I checked) and I do not spend all my time in the home. I spend most of time running to and from the school, various grocery shops, the butcher shop, childrens’ clothes shops, hardware stores, the library and the laundrette. Gringa Dairy Queso Fresco Cheese.
Gringa Dairy Queso Fresco is a cheese with a difference. Produced here in the UK by Kristen Schnepp, an American lady who now lives in London and produces this wonderful cheese. It is being marketed as a cheese suitable for Mexican dishes as it is quite tangy and a little bit salty. I think it is so delicious it would complement any dish you are cooking, even my kids love it. Basically it looks like feta cheese but without the strong salty flavour.
Gringa Dairy Queso Fresco is made solely from organic milk, sourced from an organic farm in Kent and is a soft white cheese. I use it in fajitas and enchiladas but it also works well in simple dishes such as macaroni cheese.
I like the fact that it is produced locally, and it is a little bit different than the run of the mill cheeses you get in the supermarket. This company is passionate about supporting British farming which we love here on Pampered Presents.
