Oxfam Christmas gifts 2013.
Oxfam launched the UK’s first online charity shop in 2007, along with having nearly 700 high street shops. There are over one million supporters in the UK and they work in 94 countries to tackle poverty.
Oxfam have beautiful items for sale both in the shops and online and many of these support small scale farmers and social enterprises. Everyone should buy at least one Christmas gift from Oxfam this Christmas and support this brilliant organisation that does so much to help others in need.
From Christmas decorations to wash sets, Oxfam have a vast range of products. I will mention a few of my favourites but do have a look online for the full selection www.oxfam.org.uk
I adore their Christmas decorations, each one hand embroidered by fair trade producers in South India. From penguins to peacocks, these are simply beautiful and would add that special touch to any Christmas tree. When you buy these for a gift, you are giving a gift as well. Profits go to a number of community projects including two schools and a health clinic. They are priced at £4.99 each.
It wouldn’t feel like Christmas if I didn’t receive a wash set, every year I get at least 3 and love them all. My favourite would be from Faith in Nature, an award winning natural beauty brand which uses natural ingredients with no perfume or parabens added to their products.
Faith in nature can be found at Oxfam also, with a variety of sets to choose from, prices starting as low as £5.99. The Wash set selection contains 5 small bottles of foaming bath/shower wash. They are scented naturally with grapefruit, orange, raspberry, cranberry, lavender and other gorgeous ingredients. This set is £9.99 and a perfect gift for anyone.
Visit www.oxfam.org.uk for your Christmas shopping needs this year and support a wonderful charity which helps so many people around the globe.
