The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Harris Tweed Trapper Hat and Slippers.
Harris Tweed, my hubby loves it! He has a Harris Tweed jacket and the latest editions to his collection are Harris Tweed Slippers and hat.
Harris Tweed fabric is hand spun and woven in the Outer Hebrides by local people. This is a traditional process which has been taking place over the last 100 years. The fabrics 100% virgin wool origin and the official label, ORB, adds to the quality and recognition of Harris Tweed worldwide.
The Edinburgh Woollen Mill has a wide selection of Harris Tweed products and they have a beautiful new collection for Christmas 2013.
Men’s Harris Tweed Slippers RRP £25
Wow, I would wear these myself! These slippers have a 100% wool finish and a lovely furry inside which provides the ultimate treat for tired feet. When I tried these on my feet sunk into the fur, they really are super soft. The herringbone pattern adds to the traditional look which will certainly add to the overall appeal, making these a desirable and popular item of footwear. These Harris Tweed slippers would make a rather luxurious gift, yet only priced at £25.
Harris Tweed trapper Hat RRP £35
Would you wear a traditional trapper hat? It has been so cold in Ireland over the last few winters I have seen all sorts of hats parading past the window! I have worn this hat although it belongs to my hubby. I was never one who agreed with the saying ‘Pride before Pain’. My sister can squeeze her feet into anything that looks good and is never out of heels. However, I am all for comfort. This trapper hat may not feature on the ‘Hottest hat list’ in Cosmo, but it is the warmest and most comfortable hat you will find no matter how hard you search. They are also beginning to have a younger following, so yes, I think I will have to borrow this again when the winter sets in. The traditional Harris Tweed gives it an air of luxury and, as with all Harris Tweed, the fabric is super soft which will keep your head and ears cosy through rain, hail and snow this winter.
