Walk into a hardware store or gift shop and I dare you not to laugh or even smile at a funny sign or wall hanging you have seen – the shops are full of them. I have one in my hall ‘Remember, as far as anyone knows, we are a normal family’! I adore these and think there should be something that makes us smile in every room of the house.

This site sells personalised cards, mugs, aprons and other gifts. What separates them from the crowd is that they have such a ‘with it’ sense of humour. Honestly, I got rather carried away – there was a funny mug/book for everyone I knew. I selected 2 notebooks and a mug as my order. One of the notebooks of for my hubby’s Christmas stocking:

I have had this personalised with our names, and it is ‘so’ us!

The other notebook is for my mother from my children and I had their photo printed on the front. She will love it. RRP £8

The mug I picked was for my brother-in-laws 40^th birthday and as before, his name appears next to the image. It is hilariously funny. RRP £9
